Duchy of Cornwall planning application

Although only 9% of the Selling Parish boundary is within the Duchy proposed development, the implications for us all are significant and wide-ranging. Selling Road after the M2 motorway bridge will be closed to vehicles and re-routed through the new development past a new large primary school. Thousands of new houses will be built with a promised infrastructure that will change forever the life of the village and many others. The Parish Council will submit an official response but this needs to include your voice and views. Swale Planning will take more notice the more we can demonstrate the concern of Selling residents.
We encourage you to put your comments on the official Swale Planning portal here: Duchy of Cornwall planning application (you will need to register if you haven't already done so in order to make comments) and also to come to the Extraordinary Parish Council Meeting next week on Weds 3 April at 7.00 pm at the village hall.
At the meeting we will offer an outline of the proposed development and set out how to make your own response in keeping with the 'material considerations' used by planning authorities.
