Latest news on efforts to control flooding

Selling Road, at the low point east of Gushmere Court. Existing drainage discharges into ditch / scrub land at highway edge. Drainage improvement under consideration to implement more suitable drainage layout for easier future maintenance. Ground investigations required to progress design. Job being raised for handover to contractor.

Fox Lane, soakaway maintenance was undertaken on the 27th January 2022. Additional improvements under consideration to reduce flow into Selling Road / Fox Lane from the main road before it reaches the bridge to alleviate flooding. Ground investigations required to progress design. Job being raised.
