An update from Southeast Water

Published: 21 January 2022

"We are aware there have been a number of water leaks in the area and we are keen to improve the water supply in Selling. The most recent leak was repaired on 7th January 2022 and we are not aware of any outstanding water leaks at this time. However, if you are aware of any ongoing leakage issues, please let usknow and we will be happy to attend to them.

Selling is supplied via our mains network in Newhouse Lane, in the adjacent Parish of Sheldwich. We have investigated this part of our network and our analysts have been assessing the system.

We appreciate that there have been problems within the local water network and our investigations have identified that we need to install additional assets that will calm the water pressures within the area. The required works are currently being planned in and should be completed in early 2022.

We believe these changes will reduce the number of bursts experienced in the area and improve the overall water supply in Selling. We will write to the local residents nearer the time to provide further details of our planned work."
