Notice of A2 weekend closures

Work is being done to repair defects in the carriageway and resurface the A2 carriageway at Boughton.

To allow these works to be carried out safely and to allow time for materials to cure, the A2 will be closed between junction 7 of the M2 (Boughton) and A28 at Canterbury (Wincheap), over the following weekends:

London-bound (westbound) carriageway:

8pm on Friday 11 June through to 6am on Monday 14 June 2021
8pm on Friday 25 June through to 6am on Monday 28 June 2021

Coast-bound (eastbound) carriageway:

8pm on Friday 18 June through to 6am on Monday 21 June 2021

Clearly signed diversions will be in place:

Eastbound - Leave the M2 at junction 7, diverted traffic will follow A299, A256 to re-join the A2 at Guston
Westbound - Leave the A2 at Guston, diverted traffic will follow the A256, A299 to re-join the A2 at junction 7 of M2
